Lakshmi brings serenity to Spotted Dog Yoga's Lakshmi studio (adjacent to their large Krishna studio). Her tranquility invites self reflection and inquiry to SDY's second interior studio that is primarily used for soft, restorative and meditational practices.
Rich with symbolism...her story is revealed. Surrounding the silver Soma moon, are two white elephants. With immense strength, grace and royalty…these devoted workers act as a reminder that hard work and dedication leads to many blessings and good fortune. Their magnificent trunks are anointing Lakshmi with water that rains into a pool of emotion and prosperity.
Lakshmi is also recognized as Shri...meaning goal or aim. Her radiant beauty is depicted by four outstretched arms that bring gifts of compassion, knowledge, wealth and light.
